I didn't come to CRT looking for brotherhood or cameraderie, but rather to glean information about p4p in San Jose. The CRT discounts were incentive enough to purchase a VIP membership for a few years. Having said that (and without creating a wrong impression), I have made many amigos within the ranks of CRT. These friendships are a bonus of my association with the board.
My life has changed significantly since my first visit to the San Jose gulch. I am now retired and living in Colombia. My last visit to the gulch was 4 years ago. (I guess a lot has changed there, too.) Nevertheless, I enjoy participating in this forum... it's one of the things I do to occupy retired life.
I don't post much about mongering anymore. Even though I was pretty well-traveled throughout CR, and knew my way around SJ mongering venues, my knowledge of "who's who" in the gulch, and current events in CR, is quite dated. I am also very careful of what I post about my adopted Colombian hometown. I am not a "weekend warrior" and live here full-time. So, I must remain discreet, and keep many details back channel. I don't like shitting where I eat... if you get my drift.

I enjoy making contributions about the logistics and touristic side of Colombia. There are probably guys who don't even look at my posts, which is fine. If I helped even a handful of visitors to Colombia, that is cool. (No accolades required.) I do my best to ignore the post whores and asshats which probably contributes to my longevity on CRT. For me, I will continue posting until it is no longer fun... or Admin tells me to leave.
