4 out of 7 days this week, nice weather. Playa empty. Bad news: A different gringo bought the Pescadora about 6 months ago, which was the only decent P4P hang, good cheeseburger, Gringo sports on satellite, a handful of decent picks any given night. This guy fired everybody, and the previous guy had a really good crew working, and proceeded to run it straight into the ground. It's closed. And he is now in jail for drugs. Minimal P4P now, a little in the Best Western Casino and at the new bar "Canatico", next to the Great Escape, opened by a Canadian who used to tend bar at Pescadora and her Tico hubby. That place may develop into what the Pescadora became. Anyway, Quepos is a BYO destination for now. |

Thanks for the intel, was planning to check out Quepos on my next trip but might hold off for now or just make it a day trip |
