Oh well...just another criminal amongst us. Charles Espina who was captured here this week was known to poker players as Mike (as usual seemed like a nice guy) who worked in the poker room at the Horseshoe Casino until the casino was closed down recently.He then worked in the poker room at the Radison. Inside Costa Rica seems to have topped amcostarica.com which ran his photo in Wednesday's edition but made it sound like he was convicted as a Ch*ld predator here in C.R. when it was actually the U.S. in 2007. The Horseshoe has once again been the center of activity when it was closed AGAIN recently. Previous part owner Jaime Ligator is serving an extended sentence in the U.S. for running a scam out of San Jose. Those who have been here for a while will remember our most famous criminal of the last 10 years,Russell Winstead, who murdered his aunt in the States by stabbing her 80 times with an ice pick. |
