Yo fellow farts:

I have been an adventurer through most of my life looking for wild flings and risky ventures. I mongered mostly in CR and Mexico. In my 20's I went down that dangerous road of making it with married women but with a number of close calls I abandoned that

As a number of you know, I first set foot in CR in 1971. It was interesting in my travels in the early 80's, especially when I visited the Key Largo and the Gran hotel. At Key Largo it was 90% Chicas. They were not forward like the women of today. They sat in chairs along the wall and were dressed like they were going to church. Only when you motioned to one or went over to her...did she come to the bar to be with you. A larger percentage of them could speak English than today. Few were clock watchers and if the chica liked being with you then they would stay the entire night unless they had Ch*ldren to go home for. And as I have stated many times, A gringo could walk just about anywhere at 2 am in the morning without being mugged. There were a lot of small stores and shops that had a black jack table and would sty open until 1 or 2 am.

In my earlier years before 40 I mostly was solo without a wing man or friend. The tracking of the game, the foreplay is what made mongering exciting. A strange woman, strange apt. or hotel room, strange city/ country. Strange situations all leading to not knowing what was around the corner (with exceptions of muggers) and then that great feeling of consummating the conquest. Hell I was athletic and could also run fast if I had to.

After turning 50, I was more comfortable with a familiar surroundings. A city, hotel, bars and it was good to have aquaintences to see and socialize with. I became more careful with traveling south of the border.

It mapped my travel choices when this site and the older CRS site came about. Ideal for younger or older males looking for chicas not gringas. Ahhh...those younger years.

Then comes 60 and 65 and now just about 70. It went by quickly. To me, CR is certainly not that much fun except for some friends that live there. Will arrive May 1st and may make one more trip when I'm 70. But that will be it for me. No more doing the moon walk or wearing strange outfits at parties. I'll become a old fart and certainly travel less. Perhaps it's time.

I agree Costa Rica doesn't really seem all that fun unless you're into gambling, sitting at bars all day, and/or banging multiple chicas every day. Although maybe I just need to learn spanish and/or get out of San Jose.

Circus,

Thanks for explaining, to some degree, the mindset that I have experienced over the last few years. I mongered from the time that I arrived in the Phillipines in August of 1971 as a young Navy man stationed in Subic Bay. Mostly came to a close about four years ago with my trip to Thailand. Wonderful times and memories plus have movies from my adventures from Brazil To Costa Rica and other places around the world.

Now, just an old fart. Do not drink because of the after effeects just not being worth it. Do not overeat because I desire to control my weight for obvious health reasons. Do not desire to please p4p girls as I once did.

I have been blessed with a wife of over 30 years that I still have sex with daily.

Figure everything has a season and that includes mongering. On one of my last visits to Costa Rica with my brother, we talked about it being okay for us to decide not to go with the girls. But, if you take out the girls, the food and the drinking, not much left in mongering.

The wife and I will be returning to Costa Rica in the next six months or so but it will be to do the Eco stuff and white water rafting. Might spend a few days in San Jose for nostalgic purposes.

Thanks for your post. Always have been a fan of yours.

Have a Great Day,

Dave

This is the single most astonishing sentence I have ever read on CRT.

I agree. Most women cannot create that kind of desire in a man.

Thanks. It continues to be a great ride. She is one in a million. Just got finished with our morning romp and now she is off to do her exercise routine on the Wii. A few of the old timers here have met her in CR as we used to monger together. Remember a great fivesome with Karen, Pamela, and Naomi at Zona Blue back in the day. Boy, I am truly an old fart!

Have a Grwat Day,

Dave

I don't drink or gamble but I am a ho hound and that, of course, is my reason for wanting to retire in CR. I'm an exercise nut and lived here 2 years from 2007 thru 2009. In my spare time not pounding poon, I hiked, walked, enjoyed the fabulous beauty of the countryside, traveled all over cheaply, walked all over downtown and Paseo Colon, Escazu, Sabana, Rohrmoser, etc., etc. I enjoy the friendly hospitable people, inexpensive living, no need for ac in my apartment and just the general adventure of being in a different country and culture. The hot springs in Arenal are especially inviting.

In my 50's, living in the states I had little interest in making new male friends above and beyond my little circle but when I lived here I met and made numerous friends with fellow mongers, good friendships.

Those 2 years I felt like I was 30 and never got sick, since I've been back in the USA I've caught colds and flu numerous times.

On the other hand, what's the attraction of retiring in the USA, expensive living, little or no poon, and ugly old bags thinking you'll give them the time of day and give a damn about what they say. No effin' way, I'm headed back to San Jose !

Haha, I think its paradise, too. I'm only 33 and I have the time of my life there. But I could see it getting old someday.

I belong to a beautiful upscale Club on the 21st story of building in my town. I went to dinner there last night and was in the company of 50's, 60's and 70 year olds' consisting of gaudy obese women, bald and pathetic looking geezers wearing penny loafers and blue blazers. I had a feeling in my throat like I was going to throw up. I swear, if had my pistol with me, I would blown my brains out. Its only going to get worse. I can't imagine what it will be like if this is what my retirement will look like.

Age discrimination! Age discrimination! Why are you picking on Circus and me? Just kidding, of course. Lol. You will mellow into it as you must because everyone gets there sooner or later. Better to embrace aging than fight it because you will have to go through it. It has it good points.

Have a Great Day,

Dave

It doesn't have to ! Give it all up and come on down! The old guys here are wearing shirts with flowers or fish on them but you don't have to pound them. The girls are hot and worth living for, and if you're lucky, you'll live long and prosper down here and at a ripe old age have your heart attack doing 2 of them, what a way to go !

Looks like the computer gremlins are at it again, the last two insert boxes have the wrong names associated with them. It shows my name with the statement about blowing brains out. I'm more the homicidal type as opposed to suicide...

I've got nothing to say here, I'm just obsessive compulsive and saw I had 299 posts, wanted to hit 300.
