The fabulous KAren wants me to bring her a Samsung S3 phone on my next trip.

I am having a problem figuring out what to bring her.

Does anyone know?

Unlocked Samsung S3 will run you over $500. As said above, UNLOCKED GSM only

An example of what you/she want:

Make sure its a 3G and not a 4G. 4G Samsung will not work in Costa Rica.

4g US phones still offer 3g in case their isn't 4g coverage. Plus CR is supposed to offer 4g sometimes this year!

I don't think so.

I have an ATT unlocked 4g Samsung Galaxy 3 phone that will not work on 3g unless I pay someone to root it, voiding the warranty.
