Doesn't cuantas mean "how much"? Anyway, That's what I had in mind. Sorry if I confused you or me. |

Dildo Man, Hmmmmmmmm? You sure you have no idea what he was asking? Or, is it (for some reason) important for you to make him aware of his mistake? IMHO, the most important thing is that he tried. My bar "spanglish" is pathetic. However, I am always trying to learn and very much appreciate the extreme generosity of members who are willing to correct me, translate for me and help me learn. Also, the girls really seem to appreciate the effort and are seldom critical. They also are very sincere and genuine in trying to help me learn the language. When I meet an immigrant in the US who is learning English I take great pains to try to understand what they are trying to say and don't worry about their pronunciation, word useage, syntax etc. My errors often produce hilarious results. I was using habla-hablar for "have." I love girls who talk dirty but the giggles I got from perpelexed honeys wondering if they could speak a bbjtc were very endearing. CRT is a great place because our "band of brothers" are predominately nice guys who help each other. FWIW, Rocco PS I'm pretty sure the poster wants to know how much it costs to play golf. (Scarcasm button off.) |

If you are talking about golf green fees...the main courses in CR can be found at these links... http://www.golfincostarica.com/index.htm http://www.vallesol.com/course.htm Valle del Sol is the main public course in San Jose area. Last I knew green fees were $55-65 on the weekends ...around $35 during the week. That may have gone up with high season here now. Residents get a significant price break, so if you have a local business card or drivers license...it can be much cheaper. |

Quote: My errors often produce hilarious results. Nothing wrong with that Rocco. The first time I saw a woodpecker in USA, I was trying to point it to a gringo friend. He asked: "what is it?" and when I told him, he said: "oh, you wanna a beer!". After he realized what I was trying to say (he was more embarrassed than me!) he taught me the right pronunciation! V |

T-Man- Thank you. My golfing friend is only going to see CR if it's on a golfing expedition. We have been best friends for 41 anos(sorry DildoMan-years) and I know he would have a blast. He probably thinks young girls wouldn'tbe interested in him and I'm exagerating about them. I'll work on the golf angle. Thanks again Scubabum |

Scubabum, I honestly had no idea what "cuantas greens fees" meant. As you can tell, I don't play golf. Quote: We have been best friends for 41 anos(sorry DildoMan-years) By they way, be careful with your choice of words. "ano" means "anus"; "año" means "years". Dildo Man |
