Duty free is the best bet. Crown Royal .75 liter $17.00 USD.

You can buy up to 6 bottles.

Yes, you can buy duty free at SJO and take it w/you to your hotel; realize it may be different from what you are used to - unless you are a real drunk, the amount you can purchase and take with you should be sufficient for your trip - assuming its not, there are at least 2 supermarkets in the downtown/gulch area you can purchase liquor - but duty free is your best bet; good supply and selection of rum - try flor de cana or ron centanario from CR - too you might want to sample Havana Club from Cuba, not available in the USA :)

(Also remember most brands of liquor are imported to CR thus can be expensive outside of duty free - or at duty free for that matter - rum tends to be much less expensive)

I'm the one that answered immediately and gave you the info. Where's my thanks.

I hope you buy two big bottles and drink all of it, pass out and get robbed by two chicas, one named Maria and the other named Maria too.

Dude, get a sense of humor. OK, just joking, somewhat. Believe me, Ican'tstayaway wasn't "serious." I think he forgot the "smiles" icon. He is a true gentleman and a valuable contributor to this board.

Well, what the Phuck am I 'Jet :?: - like I don't contribute anything???

I've given more good advice and helped more than I can think of by sharing knowlwdge and experience gained over the past 15 years of travel to Costa Rica - and for you to mention 'cant and not me is a major mistake - obvious 'cant was either drunk or hung over when he posted - because he knows what - and where a phucking smiley face is.

just kidding  :) - but you can see how someone - a new poster especially - could thake things wrong - especially since a smiley face or 2 goes a long way - also posting sober goes a long way -
