En sus páginas –que muestran no pocas fotos de mujeres desnudas o en poses sugestivas– anuncian que la prostitución en Costa Rica es legal. No obstante, la fiscal adjunta de Delitos Sexuales, Lilliam Gómez, advirtió que las empresas podrÃan incurrir en proxenetismo (promover la prostitución) porque se trata de una conducta que sà está castigada con penas que oscilan entre dos y cinco años de cárcel. Como algunas agencias están domiciliadas en Estados Unidos, la fiscalÃa tica canaliza la información a la Oficina Federal de Investigación (FBI). De acuerdo con la fiscal Gómez, han seguido la pista a las 130 páginas de Internet que contienen material para adultos y hacen referencia a Costa Rica. Gama de ofertas En el mercado de las vacaciones eróticas las ofertas no cesan. Una empresa ofrece una GuÃa para unas vacaciones eróticas en Costa Rica –promocionada como “el libro que las autoridades costarricenses no quieren que usted leaâ€â€“. También se pone a disposición un mapa de servicios sexuales en San José, catálogos de damas de compañÃa (intercambiables, si no son del agrado del cliente), un servicio de contratación de acompañantes “de último minuto†que funciona las 24 horas... Algunas compañÃas trabajan como clubes con membresÃa en Estados Unidos y Canadá. Aunque ofrecen números telefónicos, nunca contestan. En su lugar piden dejar un mensaje para devolver la llamada. La Nación llamó a varios de estas empresas y hasta envió correos electrónicos, pero nunca hubo respuesta. Una de las compañÃas, con asiento en Miami, ofrece paquetes hasta de $2.799 (¢1,3 millones) por ocho dÃas y siete noches con una acompañante que “hará las de una noviaâ€. “A su llegada al aeropuerto Juan SantamarÃa, un conductor bilingüe recoge a los visitantes. Una vez registrado en el hotel, en menos de una hora quedará arreglada la presentación de su primera preselección de acompañantes. “Estas dulces chicas, que forman parte de sus vacaciones, están orgullosas de sus habilidades para complacer a su hombre. “Usted estará en camino de disfrutar de este paraÃso erótico que tiene muchos placeres por explorarâ€, explican en una página web. El servicio incluye 24 horas de compañÃa, nueve opciones de hoteles –cuatro en San José y cinco en playas–, una hora de barra libre para el visitante y su compañera, impuestos y propinas. Hoteles de playa Cinco conocidos hoteles de playa figuran en la publicidad de otra agencia que ofrece acompañantes “con discreción y total anonimatoâ€. Sus paquetes, de cinco dÃas y cuatro noches, van desde $2.890 (¢1,3 millones) hasta $3.290 (¢1,5 millones). La acompañante “a tiempo completo†se incluye en el precio. El dÃa adicional tiene un costo entre $550 (¢250.000) hasta $700 (¢318.000). El gancho de otra compañÃa es: “Descanse en una playa privada leyendo y escuchando música mientras su sensual acompañante le trae bocadillos y bebidasâ€. Guanacaste es la provincia que ofrece una agencia para encuentros con sus “modelosâ€. “Queremos convencerlo para que alguna de nuestras más confiables y energéticas modelos se unan a usted en esta celebración de vida. Asà ocurrió con el estadounidense Marcus Fox, quien habrÃa recibido de su coterráneo Thomas Scott Cochran pornografÃa infantil producida en el paÃs. Fox ya fue presentado ante el Gran Jurado de California. Scott, por su parte, fue condenado aquà a 154 años de cárcel por suministro de drogas a menores de edad, corrupción y relaciones sexuales remuneradas con menores. “El imputado produce pornografÃa utilizando a personas menores de edad que reclutaba. Esa pornografÃa la envÃa a los Estados Unidos, donde un encargado suyo, Marcus Fox, se encarga de procesarla y distribuirlaâ€, detalla la sentencia. Delatado en EE. UU. A su regreso a Estados Unidos, un compañero contó detalles de un incidente que ocurrió el 5 de julio del 2003. Con base en su testimonio, las autoridades judiciales le abrieron una causa. Ellas se ampararon en la legislación que castiga al ciudadano estadounidense que cometa actos sexuales contra la niñez en el exterior. I cut and pasted the entire thing and translated it. It is dealing with specifically agencies such as these companion resorts and introductory service companies that arrange ladies for thier members. I can't tell you how strongly we feel against this and why we have avoided any affiliations etc, with escort companies etc. The entire persona changes when you are introducing women and quote In their opinions "promoting prostitution". We have at least 2-3 emails a week asking how we may contact women in our free gallery and pricing etc. I tell them the absolute truth as who knows how many of these are bogus. That We do not in anyway provide introductions to ladies or violate any of the Costa Rican laws as they are described in the articles above. Its a fine line, but we do not cross it... Back in September I ran into a guy who just got back from a 3 day vacation that some agency arranged. He never had been to the BM. Soooooo......... I just had to bring him! He regretted that he did the 3 day deal. It was fun to watch him buying drinks for no less than 5 chicas and winding up with 2. He had that eyes bulging look when first entering the BM. The girl kept asking for more money. She claimed she was only getting $25 a day. Overall, he said it was not a great experience. Probably cost him $1700- $2000 for the 3 days. Can you imagine what that would buy at our favorite bar and dance club!!! |
