Regarding smoking cigars, is there any hotel that allows it in your room? and are there any bars that allow it. I know WiseAsh does.


How about that Penthouse close to HLH I want to visit for awhile?

I would say your best bet is just ask the owner if it is ok with him..If you are asking about Sl penthouse? just ask bill and respect what he says as to his rooms..The bar I would not even think of smoking..If ash tray is already in room then I would say it is ok too. If no ash tray then ask..

you can also smoke upstairs at HLH and since it was so close to my room...

I am sorry if I seem like an a hole but did write all and simply asked got positive answers from several that were acceptable. So after I close on a house to flop in and call home if I need it, Hard not to with interest rates as low as they are sh*t I can rent for almost double the mortgage

Maybe see some old friends and meet a few I have been wanting to.

I haven't been to CR since the smoking laws were changed but I'd advise seeking a hotel room with windows that open or maybe even has a balcony and enjoying your cheroot there. If the house objects, find another hotel. I used to like the room at the Hotel Santo Tomas with French windows right off the pool--great place for a late-night smoke and good anytime. Because of the Chica fee, not so good for the chronic bring'em back to the room Monger but fine for us occasionals and/or MP-centric visitors.
