From the responses I received from SL and others San Jose is pretty much ok, can't speak for those at the epicenter.
Were u planning on staying in SJO? If so u should be good to go. Can't pass on any info on Pacific region (epicenter area).

Was at the airport today...no problems whatsoever. Everything in the Central Valley (San Jose, airport, etc..) seemed normal. From reports I'm seeing on TV and the internet, only damaged areas that might have an effect on tourists is in the Guanacaste area like Liberia and Tamarindo.

Wow...what an experience! I was sitting at the SL bar finishing my Country Breakfast (scrambled with dos papas) when the shaking started. Manfred did a great job of announcing that everyone should "get out!". By the time we reached the street things were really shaking. I grabbed ahold of the gate out front and rode it out. People were running out of the office building across street screaming...it was a very frightening and surreal experience. Honestly, it scared the crap out of me. Bill was showed up immediately to make sure the guests and hotel were safe. I am happy to say that there were no injuries or damage at the SL. Gato got me to the airport safely and there didn't seem to be much damage in San Jose. I would like to give kudos to Manfred, Bill and the entire SL staff for their quick thinking and professionalism during and after the event.

I was about to go for a round 3 on a TLN at SL. All of a sudden the bed started shaking back and forth. My chica said I looked like a scared cat. Scared the shit out of me. Didn't faze her though she said she liked them. Though I did get beat out of a session I made up for it the following night.

Had a great time with Soflaguy and Jeff at a birthday dinner for Soflaguy at La Esquina. SL bar girls chipped in for a birthday cake for Soflaguy. Good times and good people.

Jeff is the new CEO of the HLH. Some great new ideas for the HLH including expansion. Maybe even an HLH 2 in Jaco!
