My travel phone is a dual sim Android. I had no problems with it at all. However, the better question would be what frequency does your phone operate and is it GSM? |

Basicially anything T-mobile or AT&T with a sim card should work with there. if you have international roaming, nearly every carrier will work. |

Google Nexus is spendy @ $399 but it should work. Unlocked out-of-the-box, will work on AT&T or T-Mobile in the USA, (or Rogers/Fido in Canada?), it's pentaband HSDPA and quad-band GSM so it should work on any HSDPA or GSM system anywhere in the world. Another nice benefit: you don't get the carrier-sponsored bloatware that usually comes preinstalled on phones purchased from a U.S. wireless carrier. The downside is the up-front cost, plus some people might consider it a bit big. It also looks like an expensive phone and some people might not be comfortable waving such a thing around some places. (In the USA *or* CR.) |

Costa Rica operates on a gsm frequency of 1800mhrz. So any unlocked quad band phone will work. Just pop a Kolbi, Claro or Moviestar sim in, and start chatting. |
