Did anyone waste their time and money to see Dennis Rodman and his merry band of broke former players here in CR? I was surprised that he wasn't spotted in the DR,SL or HLH. I can't believe that weirdo use to bang Carman Elektra. |

Don't hate, Bob. They aren't as 'broke' as you think. Maybe they don't hang out at your spots because they aren't living off social security checks and don't need to try to negotiate $40 ass. |

I don't know you, Bob. Are you living off of social security? If you are, you should know better than to call other's 'broke'. Out of your 'merry band' of 'weirdos', how many are allowed within 100 meters of a school? |

I spent quite a bit of time with them last week and for 'former NBA broke players' they sure fooled me with their spending habits. Maybe they are broke compared to Bob , I don't know, but to take pot shots at a great bunch of guys like this for no reason is classless on his part. |

I have to agree with Vegas Bob. These former players are poor examples of successful people. I would classify them in the idiot status. Players who make a few hundred million and become practically paupers is a travesty. Sure anyone can act like they have money, whether they do or not. Just because people may be in their inner circle does not change the facts they are a bunch of ignorant uneducated has beens. I am like Vegas Bob and many others understand what it takes to be not such a fool. These fools have parasites or so called friends that thrives on the crumbs that fall . I do not worship any sports star or that they were once famous. I do life my way and actually I would be very hesitant to call those trash my friends. You lay with dogs you get fleas. In other words "who gives a shit" ! An for the record Vegas may be worth millions and me also, so do not not be so quick to judge our net worth. I can say we are not stupid enough lose that much money. |

Post subject: | NBC: Rodman never spoke with Michael or Scottie in their 3 y |
From NBC Sports Pro Basketball talk http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/ ... n-chicago/ "Dennis Rodman sat down for an interview on “In Depth with Graham Bensinger,†and discussed his relationships with the stars, the core, and the entire roster of the fabled Chicago Bulls teams he was a part of in the mid-90s: HESINGER: Your then teammate when you were with the Bulls, Scottie Pippen, was quoted as saying “I’ve never had a conversation with Dennis. I’ve never had a conversation with Dennis in my life, so I don’t think it’s anything new.†Why not speak to your teammates then? RODMAN: Well, I think it was important for me to go in there and win. I don’t have a job to speak to people. My job is to collate and understand how people work and make people believe in the fact that [I] belong there. Talking to people will come. Relating to people will come. If they see you performing and doing your job and being with the group, that’s all I want. Me and Scottie — we’re cool today. We’re a little older, a little wiser. We’re cool today. And me and Scottie never had a conversation. Me and Scottie and Michael never had a conversation in three years in Chicago. Only time we had a conversation was on the court, and that was it." wow! They were around each other daily, in locker rooms, on airplanes, fancy coach busses, at the same hotels, won 3 rings together. How did you pull it off? |

Srilm wrote: If it's possible to steer this back on topic... Celebrity, whether it's in sports, cinema, or just being born famous (Paris Hilton) does not seem to lead to good money management skills. Sadly many of these athletes never acquire the skills necessary to lead successful lives after their career as a collegiate/professional athlete comes to an end. Many lacked the necessary educational background to be able to master college level classes and at many colleges they were not expected to actually receive an education. They were paid (not an error that what their scholarship was) to perform on the field, court, etc so as to bring $$$ into the school. Once their eligibility ran out the school could careless if they had the skills necessary to succeed in life. |

Many of these broke players travel in a circuit like evangelists. Hoping to find someone willing to pay a buck listening to how they failed and repentant . Put them back on top and they would go back to the same stupidity. The best thing for Dennis Rodman would be to get rid of the leaches sucking him dry and perhaps find someone that could actually manage his money. Yes these players may never be broke to some peoples standards, but to piss away millions is a pure disgrace. There are some past sports stars that are truly broke and deserve to be. I suppose there will always someone that looks up to these poor examples of sports heroes. I call them sports zeros . I can not fathom he never had a conversation with his own team mates. I thought basketball was a team sport. He is a traveling circus and he is the clown. |
