I don't know if that branch is open yet. It was still closed when I was there a month ago.

As an alternative, I used the SCOTIA branch directly across from the entrance to the Gold Museum. Nice people, short teller lines for exchanging cash.

BCR still closed for remodel but there is a Banco National across the street from Papi's. Scotia ATM's have a $1.50 charge :(

Perhaps not directed to you b/c you ask a legit question; but why not just change $ at the bank at the airport, before you head downtown or whereever you are going -

I know guys have posted they want to get underway asap, and get out of the airport sooner vs later, but never understood the mind set of not taking a few extra min's to change money at the airport bank (I have seldom waited very long, and I avoid having to find a bank down town, wait on line - or in the lobby - then have to carry money on the street back to my hotel, and risk possible robbery, and buy my exit visa - then its done, don't have to worry places are "out" of forms, or the computer is down, or pay a couple of dollars "service" fee)

Getting it done before I exit the airport just seems to me the most efficient way to take care of 2 tasks; my dos colonies :)
