Post subject: | Available Apartment in San Jose |
I live at the beach but I like to spend at least 1 week to 10 days per month in the city. Last year I had an apartment and am looking to get one again before the season begins. I was talking to a couple of guys from the group and they gave me a good idea. I could probably get a nicer place than I can afford and offer it for the week when I am not in town. Any ideas, comments or pitfalls on this? I would probably get a 2 bedroom and charge $250 for 7 nights for a single and $300 for a double. Make sure it is nice. I'm assuming that I would have to be close to the gulch to generate interest from the board members. Would also want a recommendation like some guys want to give out girls numbers. Just so I know someone won't abuse the place. And they would have to say they are business clients as people here don't like sub-leasing. I'll probably end up doing this anyway as I have clients who also want to stay in San Jose. Anyway, any comments or suggestions positive or negative would be welcomed. Peace |

Great idea. Thought about this after my last trip and discussed with several fellow mongers. Your welcome to PM for further info. Papa Nut |

3rd; Location, location, location. If you take one too far out, they have to pay higher taxi rates to the gultch. If you get one too close, you could be in a crummy bario. Get something near a direct bus line to the mas por menas just south of the gultch. Make sure your prices compare with Linda Vista which is becoming very popular with a lot of the board members. Think furnished too. LVSteve |

Thanks for the initial feedback. That location thing is the part I haven't exactly figure out yet. Possibly San Pedro. I lived there and there is a direct bus that ends within spitting distance of the Presidente. I'm might also look around Barrio Amon and see what is available. Would like a place with it's own entrance and not a lobby if possible so there would be more privacy. I'll keep looking and reading for more suggestions. |
