I have never been from Alajuela to Heredia. I was told that now there is a new way that is faster. Can anyone get me up to speed? Thanks TIA |

Thanks TIA The only route I know from Alajuela to Heredia is Route 3. Heredia is about 10 kms to the east of the route 3 interchange with the PanAmerican Hwy near the airport. (Look for the Brosti Pollo). |

I believe he is referring to Ruta 3. It is not really a new road it has been widen and improved. The construction lasted for a few years and I am not sure it is actually 100% yet. In CR a road is considered complete when a contractor has finished his portion but before the government completes the work they are responsible for. |
