a poster by the name of Ron Medellin? It was this maniacal mongers tales of Rio that really got me to considering a visit and finally pulling the trigger on going there. Haven't seen or heard anything from him in a couple years now and was just wondering what his status is. Hopefully he's doing ok.

I seem to remember that he was run off the site by "drama". I think that some chicas didn't like to see their names posted in trip reports. Or something like that.

Another reason that trip reports should be posted in the VIP section.

Makes no diffference when some douche runs his mouth and shows reports to women.

These girls will still have passwords into the VIP section, i know not as many, but it's not fair to the average dude like me, who doesn't want to pay for a membership and wants to learn and read on the Trip Reports, which happen to be my favorite section.

He was part of the getrythm ,safadinho group havent heard from those guys either ... One day Ron Medellin ...popped in CRT was talking about how he was talking to some french guy in the airport in rio and then his plane crashed hours later ..the french guy died .. then I haven't heard from him .. we chatted alot around 3 yrs ago he and that crew single handedly inspired me and guided me into in RIO i stayed in the same apartment and used there contacts I couldnt have done it without them .

RM was one of the best trip report writers on CRT alltime ..I assume he is balls deep in some brasiliera somewhere livin it up he was just in his 20's so he has alot of time and I predict he will be back . damn could he write ! one of the best . JG

As others have mentioned, he certainly belongs in the CRT Hall of Fame for Trip Reports. The only person that came close to his detail and passion was the infamous Ruffnutz in his early CR reports.
Together, their torrid tales of debauchery made you feel like you were there and made many yearn for an opportunity to go for the first time or return to both CR and Rio.
I know of hundreds of guys who made trips or bought CRT memberships because of these two individuals alone.
I often wandered what would happen if those two ever got together on a trip.

I can personally attest that Ron M is doing extremely well.
He has two things that every monger wishes they had more of: Youth and Money.
Not to mention he is in the best shape of his life. Unlike the majority on this Board, he certainly doesn't need hookers to get laid on a regular basis.

He definitely wasn't "run off the site by drama". Nor was he worried about what a hooker thought of him.
If anything, his silence can serve as a reminder to both the Veterans and Newbies the importance of discretion.

There are many very successful people that participate on this site from Lawyers, Doctors, CEO's, Athletes, clergy to of course the happily married family man. They first appear under an alias and can generally continue to live an alter ego if they chose. However, they go on trips and meet other like minded gentleman that give them a sense of brotherhood that many are lacking in their daily lives. They begin to trust these so called "brothers" and slowly start giving out personal information. Those that have been around for a while have all meet some great life long friends, but also know of someone whose life was turned upside down after they were exposed by another "brother." Mongers as a whole are not the most truthful, trust worthy group of individuals. Most are typically living a secret life and therefore lying to someone.

Always be careful in this game. Don't assume that just because someone partcipates on the same message board that they are worthy of your trust or will always have your back.

Good to hear he's doing well... I had a chance to party with him a few times and it was always a blast. Funny you mention, he's really one of the first guys I noticed that knew that being in shape or attractive (is) currency in P4p. I can appreciate it when guys know how to flip the scipt

Those reports were a memorialization of the good ol' days, though for the very reasons you mentioned, I've had to delete them along with many of my more colorful postings. Wiser words have not been said... trust few, and always be careful... particularly if what you do for fun doesn't mesh well with what you do for a living or what you aspire to be in the future.

Great "blast from the past" with that animation... that is hands down one of the funniest and best things EVER created/posted of this board!
