I need to get some pages added to my passport while in Costa Rica in June. I cannot renew even though my passport expires in 2014 simply because I have work visas in the old passport that would need to also be renewed. I stay out of the country for tax purposes so can't do it in the USA. Has anybody here had this done before?

Others have had it done at the Embassy here without experiencing any problems.. Use to be free but now is $82.00

while your passaport may have/ or will be expiring - the associated visas remain valid. you’ll need to carry the expired book and present both at the respective port[s] of entry.

Tourist Visas only not Work Visas. The airline will not allow you to board without a valid visa in a valid passport and the issuing country will not allow you to enter.
