To Quepos/Manuel Antonio & Jaco.....If anybody hears anything about the road conditions let me know please. My flight arrives in 2 weeks and I was planning on driving from San Jose to Quepos. Hope there are no road disruptions.

In the above post I was referring to any disruptions resulting from yesterdays's earthqueke.

If you are short on time or don't want the 3 hour ride, take Nature Air. I took one two weeks ago - 18 minutes and a great flight.

Beats sitting for 3 hrs.

Just a thought!

I heard that the Jaco road is no problem. I have heard conflicting stories about the road between jaco and quepos. I am going to check into it today and will get back to youse all.

There is a creaky one lane suspended bridge in the little town between Jaco and Qeapos. I wonder if it survived!

This bridge will scare the sh*t out of even the most adventurous. I've done the drive to Quepos 4 times and everytime it has frustrated me to the point of nervous breakdown. VERY long drive and numerous times the car/taxi I was in had problems. I've never flown but, I think I will next time.

Yes....the bridge survived. At least that is what my friend in Qeapos told me this afternoon. You can drve the entire way, but there are some places where the roadway cracked open and you have to drive slowly to get through. Power is back on...phones are back on. A few of the mountainside hotels suffered some damage....but most survived. So....back to chica watching and screwing at Manuel Antonio....soon for me and my Harem.
