I made this trip in the last millenium by car a bunch of times and it was beautiful but always a bad trip, a little scary up top. Now it looks like I have to to do it once or twice more in the near future. Anybody did it in the last year? What's the conditions? I know they had it down to one lane for last summer near Cartago, sequelae from all that rain causing a washout/land slide or something but now back to two lanes. Any current info? |

I just came back Thursday from Dominical going through San Isidro de General and had no problems. Road was great and very little traffic. |
