My friend was just diagnosed with lung cancer at a very young age. He never smoked anything his whole life. He liked drinking and hung out in smokey bars. Not sure about the correlation - but makes you think hard! He has a wife and three K*ds that may get left behind. |

"Smokers are Scumbags" While I agree that it's a disgusting smelly habit, calling the users of cigarettes scumbags is a bit harsh don't you think? I hope the bill passes. I smoked for years until I wised up and now I am paying for it as will anyone who continues to smoke. As my other older brothers know, when your young you don't think your ever going to die and when you finally realize that you will it's often to late to stop doing those things that put you in the ground sooner. Alcohol will have the same deleterious effect over the long haul even if you are If your not a "classic alcoholic". I find it interesting that as a smoker of over 40 years I find the habit as offensive as I do. When I see a young person engaged in it I want to say something that will make them want to stop. Alas there is nothing that I can tell them that will change their mind about it, it's an inside job. If you partake I urge you to quit. If you can't quit, please take it out into the alley. Does anyone know how long it will take for the law to take effect if it passes? |

WTF kind of statement is this? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I meet many high quality CRT members that will not post on this board because of responses like most of Hangman's post. A little moderation would probably encourage more people to post. Hangman should be banned. His post add nothing and he constantly breaks the board rules. |

Icantstayaway Thanks for saying that without singling anyone out many do not post or are afraid to ask questions because of a few people they are full of themselves and just nasty REAL scumbags. I am finally ready to make the move it may be to CR or elsewhere but I don't ask many questions either and these punks don't scare me in the least I just despise board fighting and know that's what would happen. The search is great but many times newbies asking an old question that has been answered before can be a good thing it refreshes all our minds and we change I know I have. I thought deciding where to move to now that I am mostly retired would be easy well boy was I wrong. Now on topic I quit cigs after 30 years and now smoke cigars exclusively been off the cigs for over three years. They are not scumbags they are addicted to a nasty habit forming product designed to addict you every bit as much as street drugs. Shutting up now. |

I don't smoke but I don't agree with the new laws. Costa Rica is/was alittle like the wild west. Now it seems its on its way to be just like the United States. I go there to get away from this place with all its rules and regulations. One by one they take away our freedoms. What's next? To outlaw prostitution in Costa Rica? Red |
