With the new enforcement of the laws discouraging perpetual tourist status in Costa Rica, I was wondering if someone could give me the cliff notes version of how long one can stay in other countries on a tourist visa--and what the border run rules are there. |

Colombia - You can stay in the country of Colombia for up to 6 months per calendar year on a tourist visa. |

A buddy sends me a newsletter from time to time from a company called invest overseas. He just sent me a good comparison between Medellin and Panama City. Pretty detailed and talks about residency and banking too. Anyone interested, pm me and I'll forward it to you. |

Srilm wrote: make sure if you go to colombia that your shots are up-to-date. CR requires it for re-entry. SR To be specific it is not shots it is a yellow fever shot and it must have been administered at least 10 days prior to you seeking admission to Costa Rica. |
