Post subject:  Question on taking prescription medicines thru customs

Do all medications have to be in their original bottles or can I have them in my weekly pill box container

I have taken medication thru many times with no problems-I usually combine them into one container for ease of carrying.Never even been questioned on departure or arrival. If you are concerned get copies of your prescription and carry those with you as well.

Not concerned just want the ease of carrying in one container

Prescription meds, Can't answer that even after 20 trips as I've never once been stopped going through Customs. They only seem to stop residents or individuals with GIANT BOXES wrapped in brown paper. Its like a giveaway that they are bringing more than the alloted amount of duty free items into the country and get the full on body cavity search to tax them properly.

If you are Gringo, have your normal suitcases your breeze through customs should take all of 12 seconds.
