One of the original "Good Guys" has sold his condo, car and furniture and picked up and moved to Portland Oregon. I received an e-mail from him letting me know that it was a choice he made because he was bored with CR. I doubt he will keep in touch with CRT since he will probably undergo a life change, except that he said he would be living closer to Asia. Hmmmm I wonder what that means.

If he was bored with CR, I wonder how he is going to feel in Portland!?!?!?

Live may not always be good in the land of the gringas, but it is never boring. :)

Hadn't seen him in a couple years but he sure had a nice place overlooking the mountains and some sexy novias!

I had a number of conversations with Easy after he decided to make the move and received the same email VB did. I would have to say my interruption of his motives is far different. He had a number of reasons for going to Portland and boredom, if it even made the list, would be far down IMO.

He has not ruled out the possibility of returning to Costa Rica in the future. Wherever he decides to "hang his hat" I wish him the very best. He is truly one fine gentlemen and really a good guy.

I can see myself in a variety of moods living here, but bored is not one of them.

I thought I read somewhere that Portland, Ore. has more strip clubs per capita than any other city in the USA!

I've heard the same thing also, strange fact but true. Still I'm sure they are pretty lame.

I'd worry more about the nuclear fallout from Japan in the Northwest than being bored there.

What really matters is that homeboy is happy where he is. He can always come here if he wants. Or he can go wherever. I just wanna say.......If that is where you wanna be.....More power to you!!!! Enjoy the hunt no matter where you are.....

Portland may have more per capita, but Houston is the king of strip club cities. Twenty years ago I practically lived in my favorite one. They're everywhere.

I lived and worked in the Portland area for 30 years and yes, they have a plethora of topless/bottomless clubs. Unfortunately, only a few have women who you would actually want to touch. Best is the Acropolis by far and the food isn't bad (and it is very cheap).

Portland was recently polled as the "easiest" city for hook-ups. What they didn't say was that the PacNW invented the "muffin-top". A 140lb 5'2" girl is top-end at only 30lbs over weight.

I have been very open about my struggles with boredom in CR. The only reason why I'm still here -- 1) I'm legal to work and cannot seem to find 5 minutes of relaxation. I also make a decent income for CR and can provide for my family. I still do consulting on-shore, which brings in a nice second income. 2) I have K*ds which are non-step entertainment. 3) I have residency which makes life a lot easier.

If those three things didn't happen, I would have been gone 4 years ago. Major reasons - boredom, inflation, and generally burn-out of some of the scum that lurks down here.

And that explains Easy's decision exactly how? Have you ever talked to him? Or even more telling do you even know who he is?
