Ran into a fellow last week from Florida who was visiting to get his whole grill replaced. I've used the group out by Curridibat (Esthetic Dental) without issues but my work was mostly cleaning & replacing stuff. Anyway, ran into him at La Cantina (BW Irazu) one evening before heading to town. He was in tremendous pain, clearly not faking it. Bottom line - I had two shoulder surgeries within the last year (rotator cuff left & right) and as a result had quite a few Lortabs left over so I helped a (new) friend out. He was quite grateful and wanted me to let other folks know his problem. Seems the CR wonks are so afraid of narcos they severely limit pain meds even to those in need. His doc had given him some pain pills that were largely ineffective & the stuff I had made a huge difference to him. Hell, just watching him improve in 30 minutes was quite impressive. So....a word of warning - if you're contemplating implants, root canals or crowns to nerve-filled teeth visit your doctor in the US before you leave & get something appropriate. The Lortab 7.5 mm/APAP seemed to do the trick for him. /dddick |

Srilm wrote: Definitely true. I had some minor stuff done and they gave me a blue pill that did little or nothing for pain. It's not a surprise that it didn't help your pain. The blue ones are not for pain. You're supposed to take them before having sex. ![]() ![]() |

i am an attorney from chi. had a bunch of stuff done at this clinic this spring and summer. pain control was not an issue and i am a pu*sy when it comes to that. good docs, worry about your pain, it's in their approach. my perio doc from there shot the shit out of me whenever i winced. jeff is not a dental pro, he's as common and straight as you or me, and he ain't a bullshitter. he's transported 1,000 gringo's to and from procedures there. if you are hurting and he knows and your rx out the door ain't enuf, he'll make sure you get the rx you need. he made sure i got my scrip changed by the doc and then walked me across the steet to get it filled at the pharmacy in a shitty rainstorm when i was kind of messed up at the end of a hard day in the chair. idea, tell them you need a heavy rx, use it at your discretion that would be my suggestion. i had some pain causing stuff done twice there and i got by with their pain scripts, and a few imperials, not advised by them. sometimes that dental stuff is a bear, twice in my life, so i understand and so will they. |

Dont.litter wrote: How much is a root canal in CR? Approx? You may get some answers about what individuals paid but that's so individual as to be only a rough guideline. Instead, because of the lack of published prices, I'd get in touch with a dental clinic or 2 directly. BTW, does anybody know why prices for procedures aren't more readily available? An anti-competitive practice to do so? Just custom? Something I'd not have thought of? |

Dont.litter wrote: How much is a root canal in CR? Approx? I'm having one done tomorrow at the office of Dr. Anglada in La Sabana, by Dr Eduardo Castro. This is based on the recommendation of a very good friend of mine who's had a lot of work done there. Root canal - $250. Post & Core - $125. www.costaricaimplants.com Pura Vida, MG ![]() |

Some dentist list typical prices for procedures. I have had a lot of dental work done in Costa Rica, I will never visit an American dentist again. Dr. Rodolfo Hernandez in San Pedro does wonderful work. www.travdental.com |

most over rated profession on earth except for really complicated stuff. cr has the same quality kind of guys as we do. my perio work there was 70 per cent less than my guy in the states wanted and a very smooth 3 visits in an office that was every bit as modern as my guy's here. plus he did the whole thing. my guy's plan here was he was going to open me up, then let his tech do the work, then come back and close me up. in sj, my perio was at my side the whole time nuero surgery, heart surgery, yep probably estados, but dental, or for example skin cancer tumor on my leg i had done there this winter for 20 per cent of what usa dermatologist wanted, minor other stuff, no brainer. look at todays msnbc--usa is 40th, we are 40th, let me repeat, 40th in loss of early births, we were = to quatar, we are equal to the nation of quatar with our newborns dying in hospitals. the articles were based on newborns 0-3 months; wtf==if you have good friends who are docs as i do, they'll be straight with you--we over value our docs expertise for 90 per cent of the procedures done. nope you ain't gonna find me in cima hospital in sj for something major, but,you aint gonna find me in a chicago hospital with something other than that. i have bc/bs with high deduct, never made a claim in 20 years, all i get every 6 mos is a 70 dollar increase. |

Probably Flanax 500 ml. There is another one they use named Pronol, however as far as I recall, it is white one. Mente |
