I bought a phone for Medellin a year ago, its a cheap little Nokia and when I go to Colombia, I stop by the phone service store and purchase minutes for my stay. My question is, would this phone work in CR if I went to ICE and purchased minutes or a sim card thru them? Any ideas/advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Jac |

Maybe, it depends if the phone is quad band capable. Colombia and Costa Rica transmit the phone signal on a different frequency. Costa Rica is 1800 while Colombia is 1900. Below is a link for every country for future use. http://www.worldtimezone.com/gsm.html |

Thanks F-J, I spoke with a friend of mine who knows phones and says that what I have should work in CR too. We will find out! |
