Man....I had one FINE TIME at this place....a mere 50 meters from the entrance of La Amistad my last trip.

You go CORRECT....you might just get lucky. I know I did.....and more than once....no brag....just fact.

This place is a college/art crowd; it's new; no telling how long it will even last for that matter; but it's a NICE place. The lasagna was EXCELLENT; the wine fine.....and the conversation was nothing but a good time.

College coeds LIKE the blues. Low key jazz, too. If you act funny, you'll see what happens....as in NOTHING....you'll just be ignored. For whatever reason, I had a most excellent time each night I went there. It's mellow; low key; conversation oriented; and you'll get to hear a new band if you go when it's right....which is most nights: The nights there is no live music, you'll be treated to excellent music via a sound system that is as good as any home stereo system. The place is DINKY, so go early, grab a seat, and do yourself right. Buy some of the take home sauce, too.

Neat place.

No parking provided. There are two lots "across" from Amistad. One is going up to the hospital and the other is across the street from the Amistad entrance. I believe that one is more expensive.

Am curious how guys "fare" at the place. I wouldn't go there with more than one other guy. You'll see once you're there.

It's on the exact same side of the tracks as Amsistad and the Po Po junior HQ. It's between Po Po and Amistad. You'll see. Don't be too tepid. Walk in and make yourself comfortable. I found the area hard right as you enter the place where all the photos of bluesmen to be most productive. The "bar" is a bit cumbersome, but I can see how it would work too. The made from scratch with sugar and butter and banana banana bread is quite good, as well.

I liken it to the way I scuba: Some guys go swimming all around looking for stuff when they dive. I did that for a year or three and then figured out that if I simply parked myself verticle at one spot (I guess I figured out how to use the b/c) like right at the reef dropoff.....it was like standing at a bus stop: ALL KINDS OF TRAFFIC GOES RIGHT BY YOU. And you get a lot more bottom time (mixed metaphors abound).

Babe Ruth was strikeout king before he hit 60 home runs...... :D
