Can anyone provide me information on any gyms in the area? Wasn't to impressed with the gym at SL when I visited.

I have never been to the Gold's in Costa Rica, but here is their address and number

I used the Golds gym in 2006. It's small and basic but does the job. I think I paid for a month but cant even remember how much it was.



Just an Idea. You want to have your immune system at its best while in Costa Rica. Heavy workouts stress the body and require a lot of recuperation actually making one more likely to get a bug.

So I would and do any heavy work before I travel and use the travel time to recuperate and do light work while traveling. With a little improvisation, I can get all the workout I need at most any hotel gym.

There's a gym within walking distance of the HDR and it costs $5 per entry. Sorry I don't know any more, ran into a regular who used it all the time. I think it's in the direction of the Holiday Inn. I'm old & fat & so had no further interest....

I believe the gym you're talking about is just across the street of 2nd ave, I can't remember exactly where, going towards the old Park Hotel. It was on the upper floors of an office building. Decent looking gym buts its been about 7 or 8 years since I've been there. 5$ per workout. I found it by asking some of the younger men that worked at the Presidente.
