I just heard on CNN that in 2006 the US had more reported divorces than the REST OF THE WORLD COMBINED. Why do you think that's true? Since I have gone thru the ordeal twice, I feel like I've paid my dues. Why are divorces so expensive in th US......... because its WORTH IT. |

Yeah, they are worth it. But, why not have to pay, let's say $30K upfront to get married. I wonder how many singles would be around?? And this fee would cover your divorce in the future, after all you will get one it's just a matter of time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Regards, 911 Driver |

If I ever find myself wanting to get married again, I'm just gonna buy her a house and a car and hit myself in the head with a hammer and get it overwith quickly. |

Divorce in the US is out of control. Most every guy I know tells only stories of lopsided decisions by judges. It's truly a case of biggest liar wins. The judge assumes that both sides are equally lying, so he does the King Solomon "split it down the middle" - so biggest liar wins. ![]() ![]() Guys talk about attorneys fees (both sides), family evaluator fees, Ch*ld psychologists (each Ch*ld), school counselors, mediators, accountants, asset appraisals, real estate & auto appraisers a;; wanting to be paid. In Florida, the Judge is charged with ruling on the fairness of the financial split and the "in the best interests of the Ch*ldren" concerning the decisions on Ch*ld support, visitation, education, medical, musical lessons, sports, vacations, holidays, college funds, etc. It sounds nice, but when there are this many professionals to advise the court and then resolve their differences of opinion so the judge can rule, it is even more costly and time consuming than I remembered from many years ago. "Of course," the Judge must hear the augments and recommendations from all parties before they can render a decision. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

If I ever get the urge to tie the knot again, I'll find the closest doorway and slam the door on my hand to remind me of the pain... Same effect, but costs a fraction of divorce... |

VB, this gal I work with got married 10-10-10, the wedding was a huge one, like if they were filthy rich (they're far from it). They didn't wait to pay the big debt before moving to the "next step". They're already in the process of getting a divorce. By the way, somebody is hitting that snatch already. My question is not why people get divorced but why do they get married in the first place. In the old time, you had to get married to get pu*sy, that's not the case nowadays anymore. Like everything else, marriage is not taken seriously anymore! |

If the man lived in the United States for at least 2 years and then probably be made for permanent residency on their own (without your signature). If you have never lived here, so it will be a more difficult case for him to do out of their cooperation. In both cases, you must hire an immigration lawyer for this. |
