Greetings from a future arrival:

A question for you local medical experts. Are there any antibiotics available over the counter in Costa Rica. Something like CIPRO.

Yes, you can get the Costa Rican version of the Zpack. It's about $15.

Overthecounter? Technically no, but technically yes! Just walk into any pharmacy and the doctor on site can give you a complimentary consultation and will sell you anything you need. Most of the time the onsite doctor is the owner of the place so he could really give a rats ass about a prescription... he really on cares about hearing the cash register open.

If you need a label on your meds to be able to take back to he US or Canada, just ask them for one... I am sure you will get it.

I think Diacort is the Tico version of Cipro.
