Post subject:  Puerto Viejo - New Years Eve
I've been invited to a New Years Eve party in Puerto Viejo with Chicas brought in. :D :shock: :lol: I plan to be there several days (Fri -Sun). Any suggestions on eating places and partying places will be appreciated. I've never been to Puerto Viejo and understand there's no established P4P places like DR & SL so anything you suggest will be appreciated.

I spent New Year's 2007/2008 in Puerto Viejo at Kayas Place on Playa Negra with my amiga from Alajuela and her sisters. It was a memorable event... especially watching the sun rise after partying all night. There's a nice beachfront fireworks display right before midnight. "Johnny's Place," "Bar Maritza" and "Sanford's" are three great party places on the beach. There are many good restaurants in Puerto Viejo proper and the nearby beaches and settlements. Two of my favorites are Maxi's Seafood in Manzanillo and Tratorria Cesar (200 mts behind Kayas Place). Once you get there, you'll get plenty of recommendations from tourists and ex-pats alike. I'm sure you will have a blast. :wink:
