Anybody know any good dancers at Key Largo? I don't mean the CR cumbia/swin, but real salsa, merengue & bachata. I've been there before when I couldn't even get anybody to dance with me, saying they can't dance (I'm not that ugly!). It's not the norm, but it has happened. Suggestions? Arriving Sunday 12/19.

I've actually went around asking ladies if they knew how to Bachata, and salsa. Finally finding one or two they decided I had to buy not one drink, but several, additionally had to tip the band for the pleasure of playing bachata. Cumbia, seems to be the national dance, looking for some place in Ft.Lauderdale that teaches it. There's one dominican that knows bachata "LUCY'
good luck.

Try recently returned flaca Angelica at SL. She has a great tight little body and she loves to dance.

Regarding lessons, I took CR cumbia lessons at Merecumbe (sp?) in SJO. Per the instructor it's a dirivative of American swing and they actually call it "swin," pronounced "sween." Take jitter bug lessons in the states and try it to a CR cumbia song. It actually works. The problem with the chicas is that all they want to do is bounce and don't seem to like to do turns, except for those few who like to spin.

The last couple of times I was in SJ (August and early November), I saw Michael Jackson dancing at the Key Largo
