I read the website for the Embassy. $135 and you need 2 passport photos. Any ideas on turnaround time? |

There is a booth in the embassy itself that you can have your foto`s taken and you have them in your hand within minutes. |

When ever I go to the Embassy and sit there waiting my turn, it is clear that about half of the people going to the window for service are folks who have had their passport stolen. BKTuna, your guest has probably already obtained the new temp passport so you probably know the facts at this point. I would be interested in hearing what took place. I was told people can get a temporary "passport" which is more akin to a travel letter and it can be obtained within a day. That is not a fact, only what someone told me as we sat there amazed by the stories of those who had their documentation stolen: stolen from unsecured beach bag on beach; unlocked luggage in hotel room; locked vehicle which had been burglarized; purse snatch; drunken stupor; and, the old flat tire - Good Samaritan - snatch and grab from the front seat. |

He has gotten it and flown back to US. I did not see him after his Embassy trip but the driver said it went smoothly. Thanks for all the input. |
