The weather should be fine. I would not worry about jackets, it's comfortable. Have a great trip.

It also can be very rainy, as it has been lately. This time is usually the peak of the rainy season, and depending on various facors, can last all through November. I remember one Thanksgiving-period trip where it was cloudy-rainy-drizzly much of the day AND night the whole time. Best to bring a jacket as it can get rather cool as well.

I would recommend a fleece jacket or pull-over. It is blustery, cloudy and the temps have been in the low sixties at night. If space is an issue have it vacuum sealed. It will stay small if you don't need it.

Has there been many flight delays? I know they've had a huge amount of rain lately.

The months of November, December and January are generally cooler in San Jose averaging around 69° F in the central valley. For some reason it is easy to remember that temperature. If you go up the mountains it gets progressively cooler.

The wet or rainy season is roughly May through November or December; the dry seaons is roughly January through May.

I have a "water resistent" windbreaker with a hood which compresses into a large pocket size carrying case. It keeps me warm and dry.

It's 58f this morning...bring a jacket. Fleece is good and easy to pack.
