Can anyone comment on the low budget lodgings(Asia, Tranquilo, Pension dlc) in the area or recommend any others?

I am an experienced monger, but getting ready for my first trip to T*******, can anyone recommend a good place(mp) that includes bbbj for my first visit?
do they normally have rooms with beds?
are the rates listed on the lumps map for full service?

I will be there the afternoon of Nov6, anyone willing to meet at say the blue marlin and give some pointers?

Anyone know of any action in Quepos?

Rex,
Youll find a ton of info that your looking for in the "MP, Bar, Strip club" threads. And "Girls" review also, as it will vary by each girl.

Everybody here is pretty helpful but if you poke around a little you will be amazed at the amount of information that is here. There is enough info here to "almost" make you a semi-expert on CR before you hit the ground.

Here are some quick pointers though.....
"No cien"
No Flashy Jewelery
Take a cab if it's over one block
Never pay up front
Watch out for the "girls" in the park with the "extra" gear
Always wear a (water bottle impact resistant) Bike helmet for safety

HAVE FUN

I live outside of San Jose and usually stay at Ginori's when I take some time with a chica. It's about 4 or 5 blocks from the DR. Specific address "CR style" is Del Teatro Nacional 425 m. Norte. Phone is 248-0275. Rates are 4,000 colones for 3 hours. I'm not sure what the overnight rates are. Facilities are not new, but are much cleaner and roomier than Asia.

Enjoy,
CRFan
