I just read an artcle that said that Amnet (one of the local cable providers) as of November 4th,will not be providing Fox news on their basic package. That sucks since I wouldn't pay for it in addition to their basic, but I watch several of their programs (Bill O' Reilly) in particular.

Well, as a FOX NEWS proponent (hard to believe, I know) , I can sincerely say I would not take that sitting down. I encourage you to draft a strongly worded letter to the cable company and demand an explanation. It could be something simply, like they think there is no demand for it, but I sense something a bit more nefarious, such as a move toward censorship. Anyway, at least send them your opinion. :D

Watch out for the black helicopters and the men in black...

Faux News is nothing more than the mouth-piece for Rupert Murdoch and does the right-wing a disservice with their rabid commentary...

Just another example of corporate America attempting to force-feed propaganda which supports their agenda... IMO, Faux News is the worst of the lot, which is not saying much as all US news media is nothing more than wankers that attempt to manipulate viewers with their spin of any and all news...

I remember a time when the news organizations in the US actually reported news, not manufactured it... :?

LBJ famously knew the war in Viet Nam was a hopeless cause when the voice and conscience of Middle America, Walter Cronkite, turned against it. There is no such game-changer today.

If only CableTica would drop it too! I've got a next door neighbor who is hard-of-hearing and listens to it 24/7 with the volume turned up to a Spinal Tap 11! I'm concerned about losing my sanity!

Or how bout ole Dallas Dan Rather with his manufactured history of GB's military career. :P

Fox News has consistently been rated the fairest news network of both cable and network news. :D

This could get political real fast. If you want to really piss off a lot of people, start dissing Fox News. Exactly what we don't want on this forum.

I don't like any of them. I am intelligent enough to listen to the news without it being spun from the right or the left! That is why I seek out news sources online that are really FAIR AND BALANCED! I equally despise all the news from the left too. Gotta give credit to Fox News though for the numbers they consistently get. You know why? People like me. I disagree with 90% said but will watch it for hours in the background. Don't agree much with O'Reilly, but enjoy his show. Actually, I do agree with quite a few things he says. He is just out there on some things. Beck has turned into such a farce it is like tuning in to watch a train wreck.. haha What is he going to do today? Preach, cry? One of my favorite news sources that has links and leads me to other news sources is http://www.counterpunch.com . And as a disclaimer, this rant can't be taken as political when I hate the far right and the far left equally.. :D

Wrong emoticon! Should have been

I neither like or dislike Fox news but to call themselves "fair & balanced" is a travesty.

VB, can you say where that article appeared? I notice they no longer seem to carry CNBC which has a very entertaining show called "American Greed" which I enjoyed watching.
