Wish I was gonna be there - for those who like dance all night long - Vertigo will be rocking that night! It really won't get started until after the other parties calm down - but once the chicas have a few hundred dollars in their pockets - off to Vertigo!!!

Peace, love, and disfraces para todos,

Don Rico

There is still at least one more Halloween party planned, tonite (Sunday, Oct. 31) Hotel M in San Pedro is having a Halloween celebration. Coming out of Sportsmens last nite I was surprised to see a crew from Hotel M passing out leaflets for their Halloween party tonite. The leaflet does not have any details on it; I am planning on checking it out. My sense is that Hotel M is kind of hurtin for bizness however I don't have any inside info on that. Also, I would not be surprised to see some chicas in costumes at the usual places tonite (DR, KL, SL) but I may be wrong on that.

easy

don miss the M party! It will be an experience. How did the price it - what did the leaflets say?

Peace,

DR

i had to come back to so cal on sunday but i'd sure like to hear all about the Hotel M party. did anyone attend?

on a side note, the party at Hotel Little Havana was surpisingly good. lots of free food & cheap drinks and lots of costumed girls in attendence. i'll be posting a few pix soon. the new owner Joe is making a solid effort.

I was at the Hotel M party from about 9pm until around 10:30pm. They had a half dozen dancers, two thirds were pretty high quality and a couple of chunkies. Most were working the room as well as dancing (one little flaca just hid in the room until dance time). I didn't get close enough to check their asking prices but I understand they were double what we are accustomed to.

There was no door charge. They had BBQed kabobs and potato salad, gratis, oh and free drinks!

Attendance was poor with maybe 10 guys in the bar while I was there. It is a nice place, too bad they seem to be struggling.

Pac - Thanks for the report on the M party. Wow that is really terrible attendance and sounds like a big letdown. We had some great parties their last year for the SuperBowl and ST. Patties day that were well attended. Hope the economy turns and that is enough to give them a boost!

Peace,

Don Rico

DR,
I don't think it's the economy that's working against them as much as location, chica prices, and the room prices. I think the place just cannot succeed under the current business model. Also, I think requiring a membership and "exclusivity" may have alienated some people.

You make a good point. While they don't require the membership to stay there, those who are members, I am sure get preference when making reservations (I am not a member).

I was always happy with the service for the price (but never paid list - the max was usually $150 per) and the location I actually like because it is close to the Mall in San Pedro and only 5 minutes from the Gulch. Hope they make whatever changes necessary to succeed as the owner is a good guy.

Peace,

Don Rico

Isn't the M supposed to be a private club, rather than a normal hotel? Nice idea, going for a Vegas-like vibe, but the problem is, San Jose isn't Vegas.

The Hotel M, for many reasons, is seen as an "upscale" hotel. To the ladies working there that means I can act aloof, and charge 2-3 times what I get at other hotels, since I am working at an "upscale" location.

Some of the same ladies who wouldn't even look at me at the M, even though asking 2-3 times the going rate, the next night you would have thought I was Brad Pitt back at the SL, for much less starting price. Also the bar staff was rude. It was busy that night (New Year's Eve) so they were probably having to work harder than normal.

To me it is like hookers in Las Vegas who know that men come there with money to spend, so they charge more, when at a KAMP in southern California you can get a much much hotter woman for at least 1/2 the cost.

The hotel itself seemed like a very nice place.

Health & happiness to all.............
