Is it quiet around SL and Del Ray on NYE? I was thinking about coming in earlier... |

Quiet is the word for it, somewhere between quiet and extremely quiet. Avoid this time of year unless you can only get that time off work. It's not quite as bad as Semana Santa/Holy week (Easter) but it's plenty bad. |

A rule to keep in mind is that holidays in CR are usually not the same as in the USA. The number one example of this is Easter week; here in the US it usually coincides or is close to Spring Break travel periods. Clueless gringo mongers go to CR during that time thinking it will be something like on MTV, when in fact it's the exact opposite. The same goes for Christmas and New Years Eve. If you think it's going to be like Times Square or Vegas, think again. ![]() |

If you can hold off until Super Bowl week, that's the "holiday" that IS a good party time in SJ. ![]() |

I wasn't there last NYE but was there New Years day (think it was a Friday), SL was dead and HDR had about 12-15 chicas that night. The weekend was slow, even at mp's was lucky to have five chicas total. After the weekend things started to go back to normal. |
