A rule to keep in mind is that holidays in CR are usually not the same as in the USA. The number one example of this is Easter week; here in the US it usually coincides or is close to Spring Break travel periods. Clueless gringo mongers go to CR during that time thinking it will be something like on MTV, when in fact it's the exact opposite. The same goes for Christmas and New Years Eve. If you think it's going to be like Times Square or Vegas, think again.
Most of the chicas will be with their families, you have to go before Christmas when they need money to buy gifts, or after New Years when they have no money left and are going back to work.
