Post subject:  Police with chanel 7 filming RAIDING MPs today
Just saw on Chanel 7 the police busting into la Plaza (next to la Mansion). They arrested the 2 managers. Supposedly they had already hit 2-3 other MPs but I did not hear which ones. This time they (the police) were wearing masks!!

13 officers with masks, vests and guns drawn for a low rent MP, and what was the battering ram for the door was open :lol: talk about overkill, can't they find any real criminals :roll:

I bet those commandos can find Osama Bin Laden in no time; send them to Iraq.

Impressive-- Unmarked cars, tactical formation, close to the wall, guns drawn (just in case one of the putas threw some lube or something), strong entry. I'm quite impressed. :roll: :roll: :roll: They had probably been planning this "takedown" for weeks based on the coordination and precision of this bust.

by any chance would they have been expecting something beside naked ladies ?

BB57 do you know or hear anything about manages or owners back ground? or owner of the building? or maybe silent owners using as a front.

other wise over kill, unless those guys were really hard up for some tail and a little short of funds.

maybe Requiting Video for the Police?

Maybe they had the toys and this is the only chance they ever got to use them??

One of them had a bad session there last week and was afraid the lady might be there?

wore mask so there wifes would know they were in a MP?

maybe looking for there wife's/girlfriends in the MP ?

Word I now have is that they arrested the 2 managers, the guard outside (he is a sriviled up old guywho just acts as a guard ('acts' being the opertive word) and an und***ge chica working there.

There have been groups of 2-3 policia walking into all the MPs 2-3 times a day now for over a week. They just walk in, walk around,usually not saying anything to anyone-just looking around, sometimes talking to (looks a lot like flirting to me) to some of the chicas, then walking out. It is thought that one of these groups spotted the und***ge chica the other day resulting in the raid today.

Wow...they just happen to have a news crew ready to report when they come charging in! Guess it's easy to see the police want attention right now otherwise why alert the media of the raid!!! What the hell is going in San Jose??? You say they are not messing with the guys but I say that is just the next step in their plan to change how Costa Rica is viewed...damn i was hoping to retire there in ten years...lol.

This appears to be an extension of what I said about the DR raids recently. This has been done on a more frequent basis since DOL (dear ole Laura) took over the Presidency. Instead of going through all the difficulty of owtlawing prostitution through the Legistature, she is working with the different police and immigration ofices to make it "uncomfortable" for guys to inhabit these places.

But wait, didn't they do this around the same time last year??? It seems to me, they do these raids right before a heavy tourist week or month. In other words, I think I remember a bunch of raids before Memorial weekend and LD weekend.

Maybe I'm wrong...

This is exactly what I have been trying to tell guys was "THEIR (her backers) plan for well over a year now and guys 'balllyhooed' me. Only difference was they (her backers) were supposedly not interested in causing problems for the Tico MPs; now the police are hitting them (raids) with more regularity than at anytime I can remember; and the police are going in all places 1-2, sometimes 3 times a day just walking around which never occured before. The REY has been hit more times in the last 2 months than it has in the last 5 years (IMO). They knew they could probably never get a law outlawing prostitution so their plan all along has been "harrasment". And before someone hollars anti-Harrassment laws, there are non that would cover this according to people who are suppose to know! This is not the USA!

The word is that the police who are doing the daily walk thrus are looking for anything they see as an irregularity, and if they spot something (or someone who they think might be und***ge or undocumented), then a raid occurs.

Lets hope they get tired of it before it goes too far!!!!

Yup, in August '08 Barrio Amon MPs, most notably then-Zona Blue, were raided during a weeklong channel 7 "Amon En Peligro" so-called "report"; camera crews went with the raids. Back then the handicapped-accessibility laws were used as the excuse for the harrassment, and the places were forced to close until they could conform to the code. ZB stayed closed for a month to do some more renovation and became Hotel Little Havana.

I guess now that they can't really get the big guys like HLH, they're going after the little Tico MP's instead.

This sure firms up the idea said many, many times here--if you are out and about, make sure your paperwork is correct and close at hand. And as much as you can, make sure your Chica is of legal age.
