Now I love this sight :D . My first visit to Cr was solo and I did not know of CRT. That said I am tired of the cheap bastards on this board man  . My God somebody once said if you have to ask the price you cannot afford it. What is the point of a vacation if you do not spend loot. I mean why bother going if you are using a credit card you cannot pay back the next month

I go to get busy and whatever I spend is whatever I spend 8)

Now flame away elchepos

NYG, some of us keep tabs on what we spend so we can continue to go back, over and over and over. There's a difference between being cheap and not wasting money. I don't think it's very smart to pay a certain price for something if you can buy it for less. Of course, if you have more money than you can spend, then you don't have that concern.

To each their own. I'm more like NYG on this one, as i have never tried to negotiate the price and i have been to CR eight times in the past two years but my buddy who goes with me almost always tries to get a girl for less then a hundred dollars. He finds it more enjoyable if he can save $20 - $40 bucks but i laugh every time when he complains that the girl wasn't good.

My preference is to have the girl wanting to do a good job and happy to be receiving a $100 instead of trying to haggle over the price. But to each their own....neither way is right or wrong just personal preference.

***But i do hate when the girl asks for the money upfront. My experience with this is almost always been unfavorable. Thankfully with eight trips to CR i have only had a few girls ask for the fee upfront!!! For now on I'm going to take the advice of others and show them the door in the future. ***

NYG, I've thought about it a lot and here is my theory. I think it is the hobby/ game aspect to it... About playing the game to the ultimate. I tend to be more like you when I have money. Not talking about going crazy. But I wouldn't be having fun if I was trying to shave the price off and save on every nights hotel room, every meal, every service, every chica, etc.... I think however, this is just as important as the nut to some. Not judging, just throwing out a theory. Just doesn't seem fun to me when you are focused on saving colones on every transaction down here. JMHO :D

It's like having an extravagant meal ONCE in a while. Not gonna do it all the time, but sometimes something whets your appetite that you just have to have. Same with chicas. Not saying overpay or be extravagant all the time, but sometimes ya all the stars align and you just have to have that chica. Not gonna miss that by having an unbreakable rule on money.... All this within reason though.

My next trip will be like my last one: $50 room at the Dunn Inn, $50 per chica (HLH hour + 1 beer), one or possibly two per day. :P :P   I plan on no more than $1200 total for a 6-night trip, covering everything (flight, hotel, etc.). Sorry if you don't approve.   8)

That is abosolutely the gospel bro 8) My favorite chicas are the 5'10 to 6 foot superstars I call them. I use to think they were all Ticas but most have been Columbians  My point I always get them for 60 or 70 out of the Delray or I pass. They always perform well and then right back to the DR. I never never take advantage of them of an all night stand, breakfast, and maybe give them some loot to get home 8) . I have no idea how good the session would be then. I feel like I am ruining my trip

Boy, I am somewhere in the middle on this one. I take one swipe at getting from the asking price to the real price but I don't dog or pressure much farther. At that that point I take it or leave it and I tip lightly about 50% of the time.

That's a nice theory, but in reality, there are chicas who look at gringos who blindly pay $100 without question as pushovers and they will try to under-perform.

I'm with the some of the others, I'm not big on haggling. I'm not as active in the whole scene , but I always tried to make an offer. It was either yes or no. We are not going to haggle like I'm buying a car. And if she told me her price first, and it was too high, I would counter with a fair offer and again it was a yes or no. I never low-balled any chicas and then try to meet in the middle. That's a bad strategy in my opinion because it just pisses them off a lot of the time.

Totally agree on the low balling Orange! It does tend to put them in a foul mood. Even if they don't go for it, they respect a fair offer and don't get mad.
