Nhhank: The dial around Tel3Advantage, which is a CRT affiliated (via advertising) thingy is GREAT. It is 7.6¢ per minute to a CR cell phone. The way the system works is as follows: Determine if there is a local access number. Frankly, I'm going to bet there is not where you are....but I could be wrong. That's not that big a deal....because if there is no access number, you dial Tel3's 800 number. After all the PINS are put in, you then dial your number in Costa Rica or anywhere you want for that matter. Two access numbers I found are: 1 - 603 - 3696174 and 1 - 603 - 4353186. There may be more....you'll have to check using your actual phone number. Anyway....even if you don't have a local access number, you can use their 1800# (that DOES increase the cost of the call to 8.6¢ per min) http://www.tel3advantage.com or....many have had very good luck with http://www.jupitercard.net/ . Rates to CR are 6.5¢ to a CR cell and 4.5¢ to a landline. |

I have used this card in the past but their voice quality isn't great at times and sometimes it can't connect. I don't call often, but I use Bizon card now. It's about 6.5¢ a minute (landline & cell numbers) and much better quality and connection. And weekly/monthly maintenance fee (this is the equivalnet of a chica fee ![]() http://www.jupitercard.net/p/info.php/43 |

Not to sound like a total jackass....buttttt You can still get dial-up? I thought it was an obsolete thing these days? |

I have the functional equivalent of dial-up which is a wireless modem (essentially a cell phone) so I can relate to the Brother. Can't watch videos straight through--I have to pause them til a buffer fills up. Real pain in the ass, but the price I pay for mobility. |
