Hey guys, this is my first time celebrating 4th of July in Costa Rica. Will there be a party somewhere?

Last year HOTEL M had a party. 15,000 colones for all you could drink and eat(hot dogs and hamburgers) a bunch of knockout chicas working the pole and wearing patriotic outfits. SL had wall to wall chicas from about 5 pm on.

The American Colony Club will host the annual Fourth of July Picnic on Sunday at the Cervercería de Costa Rica picnic grounds off the Autopista General Cañas. This is the 50th anniversary of the event open to United States citizens and their family. Admission is c2,500 or $5 for adults and Ch*ldren under five get in free.

It's a bit of a family event, and in the past there has been free beer. Anyone ever been before?

Yes have gone evry year for the past 5 or so. Starts at 8 A.M. ends at 1:00 P.M. or until the rain starts which ever comes first. Free beer, hot dogs, bagels, TCBY, cotton candy, etc. Mechanical bull, horseshoe throwing. Marine color guard raise the flag. Lots of fun for short time as they have almost no place to sit down. Expected crowd this year 4000 and they DO NOT run out of beer or food.
