Hey brothers,Im breaking in a new wingman (newly separated)and we are heading to San Jose for his freedom tour.I like staying at the la amistad but I think he needs to stay in the belly of the beast the sportsman or delrey ..whats the status of the Gultch nowadays? whos offering discount rooms? and the chica scene? last time I was there I paid average $80 for a few hours ..and lots of chicas to choose from . Thanks for the help JG

I think your choices boil down to SL (if they have room), Dunn Inn, Castillo, La Amistad, the Hemingway *--in that order. Give a look-see to Freebird or Tiquicia, if it's budget you need. Leave the HDR to the utter amateurs--the action areas at the HDR (BM bar or Key Largo for a music room) are freely available to all and why pay a Chica fee? The others are a $2 cab fare away and much, much better choices in every way.

* The Vesuvio and Morazan are also choices but I can't in good conscience recommend them.
