I haven't been to CR since Oct 08 (that's a long time for me!) I just haven't had the cash. I am thinking of going but i am wondering how the american economy has effected the DR. Are there still cool chicas doing what they do for a reasonable price (cien or LESS) Are there less men at DR or are there just less working class brothers (like me)

Very unofficial survey here but I believe the consensus is more (not necessarily better) Chicas who may have softened on their prices and fewer Gringos. Search for Brother BB57's comments on how often the Chicas really get picked per week--they're hurtin'. You can actually walk comfortably through the Key Largo at 1 AM--that never used to be.
BTW--I'm a Postal janitor--about as working class as it gets.

It's a buyer's market these days. Many of my chica amigas write to me almost daily, telling me how they haven't been able to get a client for four, five, six days or more, and how the guys are bargaining them down lower and lower.
Yeah, I expect them to say that business sucks, but two or three of these girls are ones I've known well for a while and who are always pretty honest with me. They've also told me when they've been lucky enough to snag a couple of clients in one day, or when some guy lays a big propina on them, so I tend to believe them when they sing the blues about wondering if they'll be able to pay the rent this month or not.
They tell me theyre in the middle of negotiating a deal for $80 at HDR, when another chica butts in and undercuts them for $60 or even $50.
