I've been to Costa Rica three times and have had dental work done at Smile 90210 each time - everything from cleaning to root canals, crowns, and a bridge. I'll be returning to San Jose next week and will be at the dental clinic the day after I arrive. Just getting some silver fillings replaced and a cleaning this time. I've talked to a number of people, both personally and via messaging and haven't heard of anyone who has had a bad experience. The only thing you need to worry about is getting so hooked on their work that you will schedule another trip just to get more work done.

You should not worry about a thing! I went there for minor work and
2 other guys I shared a ride with had major work done and everyone
was satisified! Excellent dentists. (sexy too!) Excellent Lab work. (The
lab is upstairs and supplies hundreds of dentists in the U.S. And the
cost....try getting the quality and care they provide in the States...and
it will cost you 3 times as much!

The key word in Brother Houston Bob's excellent post is "care"--this is generally true in the major hospitals and better doctors in CR (or at least the few I've encountered), and especially true about Smile 90210. Something of a forgotten concept in the US, but it's emphasized here. Sound like a shill, do I? Well, I took some convincing at first too but now I'm a hearty convert, like the other Brothers. And to roughly paraphrase Brother GDJ, it can be the excuse for and the highlight of your trip.
To those still not convinced, try one of their cleaning jobs and see for yourself.

I have nothing but the highest praise for 90210. I had read the various posts on 90210 and decided to give them a try. Cleaning and exam, then whitening and then had them replace 2 existing crowns. The crowns in the US would have cost $2400, paid $700.

Themboyzz, did you go to 90210?

Dra. Yelda is the most gentle dentist I have ever had digging in my mouth. Most of us dislike going to the dentist because of the pain. My experience was pain free, even the injection of painkiller she gave was pain free.

Being easy on the eyes is a big plus but the freindliness and care makes it very palitable.
