Hi guys:

We heard a couple of songs that remind us of Ticas...that could be their theme song:

I'm a Maneater...

I'm a Creature of the Night...

Others to add?

Not seriously busting here but to use the term "Tica" to refer to ALL the working girls does an injustice to: (a) the working girls who aren't Ticas and of course, all the Ticas who aren't working girls. This Board has wider readership than you might think and these confusions bring (possibly further) disrespect to our hobby. End of rant.

Your explanation is, of course, correct.

On the other hand, this website is CostaRicaTicas.com
not CostaRicaChicas.com

This might confuse some members who are not yet down with all of the relevant terminology.

How about "the Bitch is Back" by Elton John. That should summarize the ticas in the Rey, anyway.

Well yes Brother MrLV...except for the line"...stone-cold sober, as a matter of fact..." I understand those Chicas are not averse to a shot of Patron Silver every now and then.

How about Charlie Prides's "Kiss an Angel Good Morning", especially the line "I've always got a smiling face".

Here's a song that might summarize some of us guys in Costa Rica, by the same "artist" as the previous video I posted.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbXPHiyE7uE
The song itself starts at around the 1:40 mark.

And what makes you think that not working Ticas are any different?
Disrespect to our hobby!? I'd say that our hobby is (mainly) based on disrespect. Speaking Spanish is not always a blessing, you hear so many things that makes you go "what the phuck!".
Anyway, what were we talking about it? Jazzbo, are you the guy in Quantum Leap?

I wasn't familiar with the Quantum Leap reference but on looking it up, have added it to my Netflix queue. From the description I want to be the Dean Stockwell character. OTOH I've been told on more than one occasion to take a flying leap--does that qualify?

OK if we're talking strictly about putas.. here's my song that summarizes them:

Ella es bonita..pero mentirosa

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnoxpXL3 ... re=related

several rap versions have been made, but i believe the original salsa version is from Colombia.
