Just get a cab and have him take you to a Panaderia. Coffee, rolls, and some have breakfast. Or just have the cabby take you somewhere for breakfast. He will know.

I caught someone at the front desk(I think he said his name was Jorge,I am terrible at remembering names),and he told me the bank around the corner opens at 9,the Soda Peru opens about 8,and that there was another Soda around the corner(which he led me to) that was already open...I ate there..great breakfast very cheap(just over 2 mil) and the service and cooking was very fast.

Plus the waitress gave me a small spanish lesson..which was greatly appreciated by me.

My fault for mistaking the time here.I thought this was in the same time zone(still confused about that),so I went to sleep lat night at 9pm(tired fromthe flight),and so I was up before the sun rise...at apparently 5 am,hungry and still tired.

That flight is a killer

Costa Rica does not observe daylight savings time. So when the US is on standard time the time in CR is the same as Central Standard (CST). When daylight savings time kicks in, like now, then CR is on Mountain Daylight (MDT)

There are a few 24 hour places in the downtown area. Chelles, just a tad more than a block down the hill on the Calle from the Del Rey never closes. Also on Av. Central, between Calles 0 and 2 I think, is Manolos, also 24 hours. Musmani bakeries open nice and early, and are all over the place, orange and white signs. There are a couple of other places way down on Av. 10, Chavelona and Loncheria, but Chelles would be the easiest option for somebody near the gulch.
