Yea....my novia & I were in Bogota last week & he & his group (Guns & Roses) had breakfast at the table next to us (Marriott). He was apparently doing some shows in Colombia.

Sorry....neither I nor my novia were impressed.... It was my conclusion his/their dress & demeanor embarrased me for my country.....

Who? My take on anybody since the '80's.

The Guns N' Roses concert for tonight, has been cancelled, as producers try to arrange for to reschedule the show for either for tomorrow (Saturday) or Tuesday night.

The cancellation was due to an accident when the stage collapsed under the weight of the giant screen used in the show.

Other reports indicate that the stage's structural integrity was damaged from the weight of water accumulating on the roof of the stage from rains of over the last couple of days.

Juan Carlos Campos, of 28 Producciones, said the announcement would be made Friday afternoon as to when the concert would take place and in the remote event the show cannot be staged, ticket holders will be refunded their purchase.

The band, led by Axl Rose, is staying at the Marriott hotel in Belén, arriving in Costa Rica on Thursday by private plane.

Tickets for tonight's show sold from between ¢13.000 to ¢63.000 colones.

The band is scheduled to play in Guatemala on Tuesday, complicating the reprogramming of the event in Costa Rica and later in the week in El Salvador.

You got that right! William Bailey (AKA Axl Rose) is an idiot, and basically, a piece of crap. I wouldn't walk across the street to see the current 'Guns N' Roses' play.
He is the only member of the original band in the current line-up, but I guess he somehow has rights to the name. Ridiculous. The album Chinese Democracy did have a couple of decent songs, but certainly it was nothing 'special'. There are videos on YouTube from a show in Argentina (with the original lineup) where some people in the audience were throwing items onstage, and he stopped the show momentarily, and threatened to end the entire show. That I can understand, but most nights he treated the audience like crap, such as the fiasco at St. Louis, and the riot in Montreal. And, I still can't figure out why he couldn't get along with Slash. They were the biggest/best band on the planet from about 1987 to 1994 or so, but there's no telling how big they could have become had the band not broken up.

The Wiki says his birth name was "William Bruce Rose, Jr." but his mom remarried and had the name changed to the sirname of the new hubby, Bailey.

Pretty decent rock band back in the day, but there were several much better by the early 90s according to my taste, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, & Metallica come to mind.

Sounds like Rose and the boys are doing relatively well for an 80s nostalgia band with one original member, got plenty of tour dates, traveling by private plane and staying in the better hotels. The best some others can do is cruise the U.S. and play a bar here and there.

Obviously, you prefer the Seattle/'grunge' sound (PJ, Nirvana). I always thought PJ had only one really good song, 'Alive'. Nirvana was OK, but not in the league with GNR. I always thought Metallica was overrated. The 'black' album was good ('Nothing Else Matters', etc.), but other than that...??? If I want to hear that genre, I'll listen to Black Sabbath/Ozzy. GNR had a sound somewhat akin to Aerosmith...great 'hard rock'.
Regarding the current incarnation of GNR, I have one word...pathetic.

grew up in the same group of street K*ds that spawned steven adler. not the sharpest tool in the shed by far. axl is an egomaniac of epic proportions and it was his undoing.
to compare that small body of work and its underwhelming muscianship to pearl jam, stp, alice in chains, soundgarden et al is just not in the same ballpark.
gnr hit on a vein, albeit a big one, and the people were hungry for it. but just for that moment and then they were just a little better than quiet riot and ratt type bands. no way they had staying power. if you must remember them as gods and compare them to greats such as aerosmith (at least the first five albums). then i think you might want to take another listen and see if maybe you had your moon boots on. jmho.
btw sabbath are gods

Who the phuck do you think you're talking to?! Are you serious!? Underwhelming musicianship! I'll put Slash, Izzy and Duff up against anyone from PJ, STP, AIC and Soundgarden anyday. Small body of work!? GNR had more good songs on most of their albums then any of the bands you mentioned had in their careers. To compare them to QR and Ratt is an insult! If you believe that, you're an idiot. At least you said one thing right...Aerosmith was a great band. I saw them play live shortly after they were playing high schools in Massachusetts.
Saw them play in a small town (Littleton) in New Hampshire in 1971 (probably before you guys were phucking born!).

WTF are moon boots?

I think I failed to mention that I saw Pink Floyd live at the Lisner Auditorium (George Washington University in Washington, DC) on 11/16/1971.
Were you even born then?!
