I’m curious and know that many of you are much better travelled and experienced mongerers than me. It occurred to me that how we American guys participate in forums like CRT to assist others in better enjoying the fun in Costa Rica and similar places is maybe uniquely American.

For example, guys from Germany, Spain, China, etc. also visit Costa Rica. Do forums like CRT exist in their native languages? Now, I know there may exist travelogue types of websites to talk about touristy travel things, but are there forums devoted to helping German mongerers learn how to make the most of chica chasing in Costa Rica, Columbia, Dominica, etc.?

If they don’t exist, is the behavior and desire to help our fellow mongerers have a better time uniquely American? Do you think it is somehow related to the pioneering spirit of most Americans? Is there some other motive for us participating in CRT?

It's an interesting question. I don't know of any foreign boards. It's just my personal opinion but I think for most Europeans and Central and South Americans it's not as big of a deal as it is for us. I think they just go, pay the fee and leave. I don't think they get too caught up in the analysis and drama etc. More or like going to a barbershop. You go you pay and get your haircut, you don't really talk about it too much with your buddies aside from saying, "I got a haircut today". Could be wrong, just my two cents knowing how my foreign friends are about it.

Not exactly the same thing in that it does not involve traveling to another country for sex, but YES there is a very simular, yet different board right here in Costa Rica--TICOSEXO. It has different sections with different thread topics such as a section on MPs with threads on virtually every MP here, one on hotels with chicas, one on Indies working by appointment, and so on. In fact it is probably modeled after CRT in many ways. There are Ticos that are members of both CRT and TS (ticoSexo) and there are gringos that are members of both. If you can read and understand Costa Rican street spanish, it is full of very interesting and valuable info about the different places, the chicas, and what is going on from day to day. To be totally honest, living here, it is probably of more value to me on a day to day basis in terms of what is going on than is CRT.

Since most Pattaya visitors are from Europe, there are a number of LOS boards that offer sections in French, Dutch, Spanish and German.

There are a lot of European options and they do discuss this stuff extensively, on ISG for example. They aren't coming to Costa Rica because Latvia, Ukraine, Czech. Rep., Amsterdam and other places are closer. In Germany you don't even have to leave the country. I've met some European tourists here, and even a few who did a little mongering, but that wasn't their primary purpose in coming.

Be interesting to see how CRT translates into another language via Google Translate or Babelfish...and then back into English. Anybody want to give it a shot?
Also as was alluded to, how many Europeans/*/Aussie/NZ guys want to travel all the way here? Don't they instead clutter the streets/venues of the Asian hotspots or Eastern Europe?

Building my post count one fatuous question at a time.
