I'm headed down to CR, staying in Jaco Beach at a place called Jaco Centro. We have the VIP Penthouse and we'll be there from 6/3(Thursday) - 6/7(Monday).....we want the hottest chicas, the best food, night scene and the best ideas for activities....I think we want to ATV, zipline, surf and fish.........Our trip is being booked through www.jacoVIP.com Any other tips would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

For Chicas in Jaco, go to the Beatle Bar at night around 9pm. It's not like it used to be but it's still the best P4P in town. LAte at night, alot of the girls head to Nacho Daddys if they didnt hook up or if they just want to party.
Casual dining, head to the "Wishbone" and get the Spicey Tuna bowl or the Tuna Tataki. It's fresh daily and incredible. For ocean side dining, take a ride toward Los Suenos and have them take you to "Pelicanos" great fresh fish but they have everyhthing and it's moderately priced. A nice place to take a chica and enjoy some wine. There's tons of other resturants all over both on the beach and on the main strip so you can do some trial and error most of it's pretty good. Los Suenos resort has dining as well, foods ok but it's pricey.
There are a few ATV tours in town, I've used "4trax", you can look them up on line but ATVing in Jaco is pretty good regardless although I do mine from Quepos now.
The best zip line around IMO is Turu Bari but it's about 45 min from Jaco. In my opinion, its worth the drive and includes a buffet lunch and other attractions including a "Super man cable" where you're launched with straps attached to a harness that allows you to fly over the valley like Super Man.
For boogie boarding or body surfing head south to Esterillos o Este. Nice little beach, wave sets arent usually pounding so it's a good time without exhausting yourself. Cool little bars right on the beach to have some cervezas once youre thru or need a break. If you're a big time surfer closer to Jaco is Hermosa, it's the sh*t for surfing so you can give it a shot but you had better be good to go out there.
Another fun day thing to do is rent scooters and head south along the highway and stop and take pictures at places along the way while enjoying a cocktail here and there. Stop in at Terrazzo del Pacifico hotel, head out back to the bar and check out the surf from the deck and a rocking chair while enjoying a cold one.
You can whitewater raft just outside of Quepos on Rio Naranjo. I book thru Rios Tropicales and you can find them on line to check it out. It's a fun river but not the best in Costa Rica by far.
If you dont mind the hour drive, head to Manuel Antonio, hit the beach and chill out on one of the most beautiful playas in the world.
Fishing can be chartered from Los Suenos or Quepos, I've been out on a few boats but we did really well on a boat called the Macushla out of Los Suenos as we got 6 Pacific Sails and 3 Bull dolphin in half a day. They made ceviche on the boat and gave us our fish fillets once we docked. It's pricey but with a few guys its not that bad. Head up to the "Hook Up" bar for a pina colada or a rum runner after, it really hits the spot.
Saturday nights at the "Back Yard Bar" is alot of fun. A little touristy and younger but its a cool bar on the beach in Hermosa and some wild women now and then. If you're older, dont like the dance scene and crowds, you might want to just hang out at the Beatle Bar in Jaco, grab a chica and make your own party. The Copa Cabana hotel and bar is fun for Happy Hour as is Claritas. If you want to see an unbelievable sunset, head to Villa Calletas, (15 min from Jaco) tell them you're there to see the sunset, have a mojito and if you catch it on a clear day it's spectacular.
If you like to gamble, head to Hotel Cocal in Jaco or over to Los Suenos resort just out of town. Los Suenos is run with dollars while you can play either ot Cocal. Los Suenos has craps Black Jack and all the rest where cocal is missing craps but has roulette and Black Jack. There's another casino in town called Amapolo but I think they rip you off and could care less if you know it or come in at all. I cant believe they stay in business.
Some guys will bring chicas from San Jose, its not a bad idea if you "know" the girl. I've done this but it's with a girl i've been seeing for 3 years. We've spent alot of time together and get along real well. I wouldnt recommend this with just anyone. Now if all of you had a girl and were gonna change players here and there then go for it! LMAO Hope this helps a little, enjoy your time. I'll be in country 4-16-10 but just hanging in San Jose, one of my 6 or more trips a year.
Pura Vida brother,
Jac

PS. Jaco is a shit hole at night, be careful, don't get trashed and head out on your own, dont flash money or jewlery on the street, be aware of your surroundings, take taxis at night unless its earlier or youre in a group. Ive never had any serious problems there but there are crackheads on the streets.

Thanks Jac, I really appreciate the insight. I'm going to print this off and highlight the things we want to do and hand them to our host.

To the other guys, I'm not sure what "Troll Alert" is but it's not me and this is definitely not spam......I'm excited to go and will definitely keep in mind the girl and "Jaco at night, crackhead" tips.....

Thanks again.

Out of curiosity, if you booked with them, why don't you ask them all these questions? They have a "JACOVIP CONCIERGE SERVICE"

• JACOVIP CONCIERGE SERVICE - We are here for you. We take care of you from the moment you arrive until the time you leave. (Let us know what you need).

Because the Concierge service is extra, if you must know. Either way, I wasn't sure how the host was going to be in regards to chicas, night life and pointing us in the right direction and not to his pocket book. I didn't mean to cause a debate, I just thought after reading a few posts on here that this would be a great avenue to get some inside info prior to going. And in aspect to Jac, it has been, so thanks again Jac.

No Sweat! I've been traveling to Cr for the past 9 years, 4-8 times a year. I do group planning for as many as 25 people (all friends or travel companions, it's not a paid service) with eco adventure during the day and clubbing, P4P and gambling scenes at night. I know San Jose, Jaco and Quepos/Manuel Antonio areas very well and have been to La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano area as well as Tamarindo. I don't mind helping out anyone who's looking for a good time. Anything else I can do, don't hesitate to let me know either on this post or pm me.
Pura Vida
Jac

If you want/ need the hand-holding these services offer albeit at inflated prices for your first trip, so be it. Next time I highly suggest you join us as a paid member ($39/year) for the discounts on hotels both in Jaco and SJO, and also the fishing charters (we have 3 different outfits as Sponsors). We're OK for dining tips--TripAdvisor.com may be better-- but superior in single male advice, and membership gets you access to members-only areas and a bunch more.
Wouldn't mind a Trip Report when you're back to tell us how it went with this outfit.
BOTTOM LINE: With these good Brothers' advice here, you can do Jaco and elsewhere in Costa Rica better and a whole lot cheaper. That's what CRT is about.

Good point made by JZCR. I joined a few years back and with 1 travel of 3 or more days at select hotels, the hotel discounts alone almost makes you the 39.00 bucks back. Throw in the food and bar tab at sportsmens and it's definitley a bargain.

Rokeefe23;

We look forward to having you and your group here with us in Jaco shortly. We have recently joined CRT as VIP Members and look forward to helping folks have much better experiences during their visits to Jaco.

We have just asked CRT to be a sponsor business in their VIP Members discount program and hopefully willsoon be able to do so. I'll tell you what. Being that you are already a registered member on the site, why don't you go ahead and join their VIP club as it is only $39 a year which is a great deal, and we'll throw in the VIP Concierge' service when you arrive at No charge. Here is a link to sign uphttp://www.costaricaticas.com/join.php

Again we look forward to your arrival and showing your group a great time here. As we do for all of our groups, we'll show you where to go and not to go, the best places to eat, drink and party, and make sure everything goes smoothly during your visit here. Hundreds of folks have benefited tremendously from having us personally guide them through the whole experience here and we again look forward to doing the same for your group.

Pura Vida from the JacoVIP Team!

I still think this service, valuable as it might be for 1st timers/groups, is a bit pricey IF YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. That said, welcome aboard Brother (?) JacoVIP and hope you get Sponsorship and the discount you'll doubtless offer us. Magnanimous in victory, gracious in defeat--that's the CRT Brotherhood. You betcha.
Now you know why my eyes are brown and it's not just genetics.
