I am always forgetting to bring something to CR, usually something that is cheap at home and pricey in CR or unavailable in CR.
I am just starting my list for this years trip......

Forgotten things from past trips:
Sunblock
Banana Boat after sun lotion
Can and Bottle coolers, really hard to find in CR
An actual cooler (works well as a carry on and very necessary at the beach) http://www.igloocoolers.com/product-image-viewer/?color=&model=46759
Crushed Dried Habanero peppers (for spicing things up)
American rubbers
Munchies
Sandals (duh)
Beach Towel
Cell phone charger (best alarm clock IF it has power) another Duh moment

What do you forget?

What do you always bring that isn't available in CR?

$7-8 a can last year in Puerto Viejo, but it really wasn't needed.

Nothing. I start making my list of the next trip the day I get back from my last trip. I'm kind of obsessive about planning things out that way. The only thing I forget to bring is my inhibitions, they can stay at home with all the gringas!!

Second CH's post re toilet paper, I caught a cold on the airplane on the way down and this did save my ass AND nose. Also, sunblock is always much more expensive south of the border.

After my first 2 trips, my "trip" list has been perfected. I just keep the same list and refer to it as I am getting ready for the next one....that way I do not forget anything. Have to admit, I may add to my list one roll of good ole Charmin......sounds like a nice touch....lol

At least in Holloween 2008, a pharmacy between Hotel Presidente and the HDR had tubes of KY Jelly for sale.

The pharmacy is on Avenida Central near the corner of Calle 9. Walking from the HDR on Calle 9, turn right at first street which is Avenida Central, go down 2-3 doors and pharmacy is on the right.

I vastly prefer Astroglide myself, I always have several tubes of it packed in my luggage.

My solemn pledge to refrain from drinking, gambling , lying gluttony, debauchery ,wasteful spending and mostly sacred my vow of Celibacy . For some reason I always seems to forget those items....
